For holders of passports from developed countries, entering Malaysia for a visit is relatively hassle-free.
Foreigners who want to work in Malaysia will need a working visa. Ordinarily the employer applies for this and handles the paperwork and expense.
Foreigners who wish to retire in Malaysia may be interested in the Malaysia My Second Home programme, which provides a 10-year multiple-entry visa to people who can meet certain financial and other qualifications.
