Shopping malls
From MalaysiaExpat
Malaysians love their shopping malls. Kuala Lumpur alone probably has more of them than Europe. They provide air-conditioned relief from the heat outside, a social milieu for teenagers in a conservative society, fairly decent food courts, and of course lots and lots of shopping. Even die-hard mall-haters tend to grudgingly come around to a pro-mall (or at least mall-agnostic) position after living in KL for a while.
